Apply for a Board Position with the Young Storage Network!

We're thrilled to announce the opening of 2 YSN Board positions for Operator Members.

Our network is experiencing incredible growth, and the enthusiasm we received during our last board member selection process was truly inspiring. Sadly, we recently received a resignation from one of our Operator Board Members, Jamie Thomas, and very soon, our former Chair, Anthony Adams, will be reaching the end of his eligibility as a YSN member.

This means we now have two operator board member positions to fill. If you would like the opportunity to serve on the YSN Board and help steer the future of the YSN Network for all our members, please review the criteria and process below. 

To be eligible for this fantastic opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an SSA UK operator member and a YSN member.
  • Be under 40 years of age.
  • Have attended at least two YSN events (in person or online) in the past year, demonstrating your familiarity with our operations.
  • Have been working or otherwise involved in the self storage industry for at least 2 years.
  • No single business, or group of businesses under common ownership, can have more than one board representative.

Note that applications need to be submitted by midnight on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. We encourage you to showcase your passion for the industry, your vision for the YSN's future, and any relevant experience you bring to the table.

Once we receive your application, operator members will be able to vote via our website. If you have previously applied we welcome you to reapply. Voting will take place at the beginning of August, and we'll keep you updated on the timeline throughout the process.
