James Bonny

Bonnys Self Storage Ltd

James is the Director/ Owner of Bonnys Self Storage Ltd. With over 10 years of experience as an operator, he opened his first site in 2013, managing the construction and fit-out of all facilities, manning reception, sales, marketing, accounts, cleaning, etc. He now runs five sites, four in southeast London and a further remote site opened in April 2024 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

From leaving school at 16, he went straight into the property industry. Originally construction, then development and management. Whilst looking for an opportunity to start his own business, he was drawn to self storage as he felt his skills related well to the industry. Having made storage work in peculiar circumstances and overcoming obstacles along the way means he has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. From setting up and running multiple sites and navigating the operations of the new technology of remote facilities, he is keen to develop and support the YSN.

Kelsey Carter

Squab Storage

Kelsey began her career in the self storage industry six years ago, joining Squab Storage as a part-time Sales Consultant at the Evesham facility. With a background in retail, she quickly discovered a passion for the industry and has since progressed to become Store Manager, leading the Evesham site while also supporting the wider business through marketing, photography, networking, and customer engagement.

Since entering the self storage industry, Kelsey has been an active member of the Young Storage Network, finding it to be an invaluable source of advice, resources, support, and industry connections throughout her career. She is passionate about encouraging collaboration, sharing ideas, and helping others develop within the industry.

As a member of the YSN Board, Kelsey is excited to support the continued growth of the network and give back to an industry that has provided her with so many opportunities. She looks forward to working alongside fellow board members to help deliver value for YSN members, encourage the next generation of self-storage professionals, and continue strengthening the industry as a whole.

Mark Drummond

Now Storage

Mark Drummond, alongside his brother Guy, owns and operates Now Self Storage, a multi-site self storage business with locations across the South East, West Midlands and Wales. Since starting the business in 2009, they have grown the company to 19 locations, with further expansion plans underway, including the recent opening of their second Cheltenham site.

Now Self Storage operates a mix of indoor and outdoor storage facilities and has built its growth around a predominantly remotely managed operating model.

Neve Harris

OpenTech Alliance

After a 6+ year career in retail management, Neve entered the self-storage industry into the security sales & installation space, before transitioning into a sales role within construction and build. She has since gained experience across multiple areas of the sector, developing a strong understanding of the people and businesses that make self-storage such a unique industry.

Neve is a Sales and Account manager covering EMEA with OpenTech Alliance. She is passionate about customer service and experience, as well as the future of new technology in the industry. She enjoys building relationships, bringing people together in projects. She is a strong believer in the value of collaboration and is keen to support people in developing their careers in self-storage through learning and networking, just as she did herself. She looks forward to helping the YSN continue to grow and deliver value for its members.

Lucy Maidman

Store & Secure Self Storage

Director of Store & Secure Self Storage in South England. I run the business with my sister Sophie and have been in the industry 15 years. We recently sold our first brand and are now building our second portfolio of stores. Love everything self storage!

Sarah Manning

Secure Stores Nationwide Ltd

Sarah Manning is Managing Director of Secure Stores Nationwide, supplier of shipping containers and related accessories.

Sarah has been in the container industry for around 20 years now, starting her career at Mr Box, which she ran and grew into a successful business.  Mr Box was then acquired by Mobile Mini in 2016, who Sarah continued to work with for a further 4 years. In 2021, Sarah launched her own container business, Secure Stores Nationwide. Secure Stores specialist area is Self Storage, with a strong focus on customer service.

Ricky Williams

The Space Program

Ricky is one of our YSN board members, and is also Managing Director of Container Team, home of The Space Program and Team Refrigeration. Ricky has been involved in the family business since 2018, after many years working in the motor trade for Audi and Porsche. He is tasked with driving the businesses ambitious growth plans.
