Simon joined the Self Storage Association UK in September 2025, having previously led a range of trade associations and professional bodies at the UK and European level across such diverse sectors as jewellery, construction, healthcare, business tourism and public health pest control. He is responsible for the strategic direction of SSA UK and leadership of the staff team. Simon has an MBA from Birmingham City University.

Martin Slater is Commercial Manager at Redwood Collections, an FCA-regulated debt recovery company supporting businesses across the UK and internationally. Martin works closely with businesses and trade associations to help improve credit-control processes, reduce the risk of unpaid invoices and recover overdue accounts while protecting valuable customer relationships.
Engaging, passionate and genuinely thought-provoking, Tim brings behavioural science to life in a way audiences can immediately relate to and act on. A former Marketing Director and Management Consultant, he is now the founder of CX Lab — a global consultancy helping organisations use behavioural science to create better customer experiences and stronger commercial results. Tim has worked with leading brands across retail, telecoms, financial services, hospitality, engineering and technology, showing how seemingly small changes can make a big difference to customer behaviour, commercial performance and profit. He is also the founder of a digital health-tech venture using biometric data to objectively measure stress and improve wellbeing, performance and productivity.
