BAR Young Movers X SSA UK Young Storage Network

Two industries. One customer journey. Plenty of opportunities to work together.

The BAR Young Movers and SSA UK Young Storage Network are joining forces for a special day bringing together young professionals from across the removals and Self Storage industries.

Removals and Self Storage are naturally intertwined. Customers moving house or business often need storage, while storage customers frequently need help moving their belongings. Removers and storage operators regularly refer customers to one another, work together to provide solutions and rely on trusted local partners.

This event is an opportunity to build those connections, learn more about each other's industries and, hopefully, meet people across the UK who you can do business with in the future.

But it's not all business! We'll have tours, lunch, networking, a leadership discussion and plenty of opportunities to get to know people from the other side of the industry - all in a relaxed and informal setting with a group of people who share a similar ethos and stage in their careers.

Working Together: The Value of Trusted Industry Partnerships Hear from BAR and SSA UK representatives about the benefits of association membership, what it says about your business and why working with fellow members can provide confidence when referring customers, sharing leads and using each other's services. Emma Greenwood from the Self Storage Association UK (SSA UK) will explore what SSA UK membership means for self storage operators and how building trusted relationships with British Association of Removers (BAR) members results in next level operational advantages and communicates real value and reassurance to both of their customers
Self Storage & Removals Facility Tour Get an insight into how Squab’s Self Storage and removals operation works. Squab is no ordinary facility.
BAR Training Centre Tour Take a look behind the scenes at the BAR Training Centre and learn more about the training and development available within the removals industry.
Lunch & Networking An opportunity to meet other young professionals from across both industries, swap ideas and start building new connections.
Leading the Way: Lessons in Leadership Hear from experienced leaders about what it really takes to be a good leader. We’ll explore different leadership styles, lessons learned along the way, how to get the best from your team, and practical tips for developing your own leadership skills and confidence.
And, of course… Christmas jumpers! Christmas jumpers are not compulsory, but strongly encouraged! There'll be a prize for the best one, so this is your chance to bring out your most impressive festive knitwear.

Come along, meet some new people, learn something about a neighbouring industry and hopefully leave with a few new contacts, ideas and business opportunities.
