Golf Tournament

Boasting a unique position within the Vilamoura golf portfolio, the Millennium Golf Course is seen as one of Europe’s most visited and best loved for golf in the region.  Opened in 2000 and comprising nine brand new holes and a refurbished inward half, which had previously formed part of the original 27 hole Laguna Golf Course, this is a more open course that its neighbours, although holes 3 and 7 wind between pine trees.  A number of lakes, particularly interesting on 17 and 18 enrich the remaining holes of the course, where a simple course strategy is considered the best approach.  Holes 18, PAR 72, Length 6176m and Slope Rating 120.

Sailing Cruise and Grotto Tour

Departing from directly outside the hotel in Tivoli Marina, join us for 3 hours of sailing including a Grotto Tour.  This exclusive event includes drinks and the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful coastline in the region.  The cruise travels along the shore to the Albufeira area, passing several beaches, some of which  it is only possible to see from a boat, until reaching Albufeira. Here the Algarve coastline is split between sandy and rocky coastlines.  An unforgettable experience.

Cultural and Wine Tour to Silves

We will depart from the hotel by air-conditioned coach towards Silves, a charming town situated on the bank of the Arade River.  The town was once the capital of the Algarve and it was still referred to in the 19th Century as the ‘Kingdom of the Algarve’.  So much history is attached to Silves and its surrounding area.  The tour includes a visit to the Castle and the Cathedral.  After visiting Silves the tour continues to one of the wineries of the Algarve which produces wines under the supervision of highly professional oenologists.  Wine production is a big tradition in Portugal dating back thousands of years.  Several invading cultures gave their input to the evolution of the Portuguese wine of today.  A 4 hour tour – not to be missed.

Further details will be published shortly.
